Is there an issue that your group is working on? Do you need to get the message out about its importance?

Are you a candidate, or part of a candidate’s campaign? Do you want to know how to get your name, or your candidate’s name, out to the public?

Well, this training is for you. Join Indivisible Rural Illinois this Thursday to discuss how to create an overall social media strategy. Then, we will show you how to use websites, YouTube, Twitter, TokTok, Instagram, and Facebook to help get the word out.

Christian Perry, from JB Pritzker’s campaign, will talk about media strategies. Janel Stahr of Stahr Media will talk about website development. Terry Maher

Terry Maher's journalism career spans four decades. After several years covering East Central Illinois for Crain's Chicago Business, her career shifted to writing, editing, and producing newsletters, annual reports, and exhibit catalogs for many departments and colleges at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Most recently, she was the press secretary and newsletter writer/editor for Bend the Arc Jewish Action Champaign-Urbana. Terry has also had a long career as a professional bassoonist. She is currently a member of the Peoria Symphony Orchestra, on whose union orchestra committee she serves, and Heartland Festival Orchestra (Peoria). She lives in Champaign-Urbana.
