Join progressives from around the state and the midwest to strategize and learn how to keep our elections Blue in 2022 at the Illinois Convening on Saturday, November 13. We’ll have nationally known guest speakers, including
- Indivisible foundes, Ezra Levin
- Heather Booth, American civil rights activist and leading strategist for progressive issues
- Keynote speaker Rev. Dr. William Barber of the Poor People’s Campaign.
They will fire you up as we get ready to tackle the upcoming election cycle!
This week, all 50 Senate Democrats (including Sens. Manchin and Sinema) supported beginning debate on the Freedom to Vote Act — the current version of the big democracy reform bill that we’ve been fighting for all year. As expected, Mitch McConnell and his GOP allies filibustered to prevent that debate. Our Illinois Convening will prime you to fight against this attack on our democracy.
No matter what we look like or who we vote for, most of us believe that our elected leaders should deliver for us. That’s what Indivisible Illinois is all about–energizing the progressive grassroots to educate, motivate, and turn out the voters needed to keep elections Blue in 2022. Our Illinois Convening is the perfect place to come together, have a great time, meet new and old friends, and commit to organizing for action towards liberty, justice, and equity for all!
